This was a precognitive dream.

In the dream, I was with a male relative I hadn’t spoken to in three years due to a disagreement.  But in the dream, we were speaking again for the first time.  We were standing outside in someone’s yard and there were three small children playing in front of us.  I assumed they were his grandchildren but didn’t know for sure. We watched them as they squatted on the ground and played with toys.  Our conversation seemed to be going well.  But I knew he was still very angry with me.  Then I understood that he was really angry with himself because of all the mistakes he has made that led to some very devastating events in his life.

I am communicating (talking/speaking) with this particular relative (the actual relative in the dream) due to what is currently being cultivated in our lives (outside) while we await what comes next (yard).  This is a new beginning or fresh start (children) which has its roots in the physical/mental/spiritual aspects of our lives (three).  I am aware he is still very angry with me, but I also know that he is really angry with himself because of the things he did which caused great harm to himself.

At the time I had this dream, I was not expecting to be in communication with this relative.  I had not received any word that anything had changed.  It was a coincidence that I ended up speaking to him a week or two later and we both apologized for not behaving better.  In the conversation, he informed me of great changes in his life which hopefully will lead to positive physical, mental and spiritual growth.  The children could also represent my relative’s actual grandchildren, of which he has three.  They are young and he loves them dearly and could be the very thing he must focus on to keep on a positive physical/mental/spiritual path.

There was also a very clear message in the dream about my relative’s state of mind.  He is still angry with me, but really angry with himself.  This is the type of anger that does not go away easily and must be worked through by learning to accept the errors you have made in thinking and behavior which have caused great harm to yourself and possibly others.  Once you have taken responsibility for your own thinking and actions and determined to correct that thinking and behavior, then you must also forgive yourself for those mistakes and errors in judgment.  It is good for me to  know he is going through this development in his personal growth, as it will help me in continuing a relationship with this relative and remembering to be patient as he works through these issues.
