I had this dream several years ago, but I thought it was a good example of how we can receive information on others.
In this dream, I was standing on a beach, speaking with a friend. I could see her husband a little ways from us. He had his hands on an extremely large, round boulder that was resting in the sand. He was trying to push it. The boulder was at least a thousand pounds, if not more. It didn’t look to me as if he was moving it at all. My friend smiled proudly and told me her husband had moved the boulder a whole inch. I might have said something like “Oh” because that didn’t sound like a real feat. She told me quite emphatically, “Oh, no! It is very impressive he moved it a whole inch!” I could tell she was very pleased by what he had done.
SIGNIFICANT SYMBOLS:
Friend-the person themselves or the relationship I have with that person or insights into that person
Husband-the person themselves or the relationship with that person or insights into that person.
Beach-a time of joyfulness, or peaceful or solitary reflection. Consciousness between spirit(emotions) and the physical world.
Boulder-Difficulties that need to be overcome or gone around. Emotional aloofness or the inability to change or open up.
In this dream, my friend communicates directly with me (in the dimension between the Spirit world and the physical world as represented by the beach). She lets me know of an important change with her husband. She tells me specifically, “He moved the boulder a whole inch.” The boulder represents difficulties within her husband that he has needed to change. Even a little bit of a change (moving the boulder one inch) is an accomplishment worth celebrating (as she clearly tells me). He is still working at moving the boulder, an indication that he is still working at changing his problems areas even though he has already made improvements.
Sometimes, we can receive communication from people who are alive, letting us know how they are doing. Usually, the information (in my experience) is because the person has made an important decision that will effect the rest of their lives. That sounds like something big, like being married or divorced (as examples), but that is usually not the case. Generally, the information I receive is about the person changing their attitude or approach to life just a little bit. This change occurs in their beliefs or attitudes or ideals or values. It may seem like a small change in how they deal with their problems or in how they approach life, but it effects their behavior and relationships in big ways. For example, the couple in the dream had had marriage problems to the point they came close to separating and divorcing. But at a certain point in all of this trouble, the husband changed his attitude about what he should and could be doing in the marriage and became a better and more caring husband. It was a small change in attitude which caused him to change his approach to his marriage and his wife. When he did this, their marriage changed from a hardship to a blessing. Within just a few years, I witnessed a couple very much in love and happy to be together just because he changed his attitude just a little bit. He also became a better father, a better son, and a better worker. He became a much happier person. And all because he changed his attitude just a little bit.
I think anytime we make changes in our basic personality, it is just like what is represented in this dream-trying to move a boulder that weighs a thousand pounds. This dream clearly indicates the husband had to make a huge effort to change his attitude . It did not casually happen. He had to work at it and work at it until he finally succeeded. This is true of all of us if we wish to make a change in ourselves that is permanent and against our normal behavior. But it can be done if we are just willing to keep trying.
